About the Opportunity :
Requirements and Qualifications :
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Electronic assembly experience : 6 plus months preferred.
3. Experience with conformal coating processes and equipment ideal.
4. Due to ITAR Restrictions, US Citizenship or green card is required.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
6. Ability to read and understand technical documents such as standard operation procedures and other related documents.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to lift, push and pull 10 to 45 pounds.
9. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
10. Must have good eyesight, as well as the ability to adjust focus and differentiate between colors.
11. Flexibility to work in other department and extra hours when needed, including weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Operate and monitor conformal coating machines to apply protective coatings to electronic assemblies. Ensure machines are set up correctly and operating efficiently.
2. Inspect coated assemblies for defects, such as uneven coating or incomplete coverage. Perform quality checks and adjustments as necessary to meet product specifications.
3. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines for conformal coating processes. Ensure that all coating applications meet industry standards and customer requirements.
4. Manage and prepare coating materials, including mixing and diluting solutions as needed. Ensure that all materials are stored properly and used efficiently.
5. Maintain accurate records of machine operations, coating processes, and quality checks. Complete production reports and log any issues or deviations from standard procedures.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines related to the use of conformal coating machines and chemicals.
7. Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures, reporting any safety concerns, and participating in any scheduled stretch breaks.
8. Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Virtex Quality Policy through accountable action.
9. Responsible for compliance to Virtex's Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.
10. Act as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted.
11. Accountable for accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Virtex employees and / or any outside service.
