We are seeking a passionate and committed Associate Veterinarian to join our team and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to animal welfare and provide high-quality medical care to our cat and dog patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with our highly trained staff and pet owners, and a passion for veterinary medicine and doing the right thing.
- Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as necessary.
- Perform a variety of surgical and dental procedures with precision while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Build strong relationships with clients and their pets, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment.
- Be sensitive to the clients time and be efficient with hospital resources.
- Provide care for animals in need of urgent medical attention.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using veterinary terminology.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, dental health, nutrition, minor behavior issues and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and surgical techniques.
- Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques and understanding of animal physiology.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and diagnostics related to veterinary medicine.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to complete medical records same day and stay on top of return calls to clients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Maintain the highest level of ethics and professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to providing exceptional care.
- While we prefer an experienced veterinarian, we are willing to mentor a new graduate who is looking for a long-term relationship with our practice.
