About The Position

Experience :

• Minimum years of experience : 2 years preferred
• Experience with ortho / neuro / oncology required

License :

Active nursing license required

Certifications :

BLS

NIHSS

Must-Have :

Float required in multiple areas

Experience with various medical procedures

Description :

Float to various units is mandatory, including oncology, ortho / neuro, medical, and post-surgical.

Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and oncological patients is required.

Charting system experience preferred.

Skills in accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and care for patients with central lines and chest tubes are required.

Knowledge of colostomy care, CPAP / BiPAP, and management of acute conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents is essential.

Ability to perform patient assessments and administer medications including insulin and heparin is necessary.

Experience in management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring is advantageous.

The nurse will provide care for surgical drains, pre / post-operative patients, and renal failure cases.

Proficiency in IV starts, wound care, and tracheostomy care is expected.

Candidates should be familiar with the use of rapid response and code teams.

Capacity to work with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services, is essential.

The daily patient census is projected to be between 30 to 36 with appropriate patient ratios maintained.

Adherence to safety protocols and isolation precautions is mandatory.
