Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a RN for a Day Shift Pre-Op Clinic position with MA RN license required and periop or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an anesthesia-based pre-op clinic within a hospital setting
  • Primary duties include pre-op phone calls, medication reconciliation, care coordination, and pre-op education for patients scheduled for surgery or procedures in Endoscopy, IR, radiation oncology, and the cath lab
  • Day shift schedule : 4x10s, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required
  • EMR used : Epic
  • Main responsibilities include conducting pre-op assessments, medication reconciliation, care coordination, and patient education by phone
  • No on-call duties
  • Public transportation and parking are available, but not validated; parking costs may apply
  • Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital
  • RTO must be disclosed at the time of application
  • UKG / Kronos used for timekeeping
  • No religious or medical exemptions for vaccine requirements are permitted

    • Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted MA RN license at time of consideration (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Periop, PACU, or pre-procedure evaluation experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination series required, with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season
  • Primary source license verification required via NURSYS and BON
  • Two professional references required
