• Experience in managing a variety of patient diagnoses
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Description :

The position involves providing care in a progressive care unit.

The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.

Common diagnoses include GI bleed, DKA, stroke, TIA, hypertension, NSTEMI, COPD, and CHF.

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4 in a unit that accommodates 24 beds.

The unit utilizes electronic health record systems and has a variety of interdisciplinary support services.

Travelers are expected to work on weekends, with coverage required every other weekend unless specified.

There are no call requirements associated with this position.

If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment period, travelers are expected to be available to work the holiday(s).

A maximum of seven days of requested time off is permitted.

Compliance with all required documentation is necessary for a timely start.

Candidates must have supervisory references available at the time of application.

Travel experience is required, and two supervisory references are preferred.

The role involves using various medical equipment and telemetry systems for patient management.

Scholarly knowledge and practical skills in dysrhythmia interpretation are essential for success in this role.
