About The Position

📄 Job Description :

We are looking for experienced Medical Directors to review medical records, synthesize complex hospital-based clinical scenarios, and provide expert decision-making on requested services. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to gather clinical info and ensure timely determinations. Ideal candidates are professional, collaborative, resourceful, and thrive in a team-oriented, structured environment.

⚡ Responsibilities :

✅ Conduct timely and compliant medical necessity reviews for inpatient services

✅ Maintain accountability for productivity, quality, and compliance metrics

✅ Communicate determinations clearly, both verbally and in writing

✅ Adapt to evolving workflows, tools, and utilization management practices

✅ Ensure services align with national guidelines and clinical standards

All interviews conducted virtually via Zoom

One interview with lead medical director; decisions made afterward

Job Requirements

📋 Requirements : 🎓 MD or DO degree

🏥 5+ years of direct clinical patient care experience post-residency or fellowship (preferably inpatient or Medicare-age / disabled population experience)

🩺 Board Certification in an approved ABMS specialty

📃 Current, unrestricted US medical license (willing to obtain additional licenses if required)

🚫 No sanctions from federal or state authorities

🗣 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

🔍 Strong analytic and interpretation skills, team-oriented

⭐ Preferred Qualifications :

💡 Knowledge of managed care, Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, or commercial health insurance

📊 Utilization management experience

📚 Familiarity with national guidelines such as MCG® or InterQual

🏥 Hospital-based clinical practice experience (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics, Hospitalist, Emergency Medicine, or hospital-based specialties)

⚡ Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments

💻 Comfortable using technology to improve workflows
