Position

The Fulfillment Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations in our new e-commerce fulfillment department. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building systems and teams from the ground up. You’ll manage order processing, picking, packing, inventory management, and shipping — ensuring accuracy, speed, and quality in every order. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our new e-commerce fulfillment department, as well as general shipping and receiving duties. This position will oversee our sample department and fulfillment staff. This is a full-time, hourly, supervisory position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily fulfillment operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the new e-commerce fulfillment center.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and order accuracy to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve flow.
  • Assist in layout design, process optimization, and selection of tools, systems, and equipment.
  • Hire, train, and supervise fulfillment associates.
  • Set performance goals, conduct coaching, and foster a positive, safety-focused culture.
  • Lead daily team meetings to communicate priorities, targets, and process improvements.
  • Use ERP (Odoo) and e-commerce platform (WooCommerce) to track orders and inventory.
  • Generate and analyze fulfillment performance reports (order accuracy, ship times, productivity).
  • Partner with IT and operations teams to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA safety standards.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the management team.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce, warehouse, or distribution operations.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a fulfillment or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of order management systems, inventory processes, and shipping carriers.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up or growth-stage environment — hands-on and adaptable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven work history of punctuality and attendance
  • Objective honesty, high ethical standards, and a focus on producing accurate transactional work
  • Passion for the value of beautiful and sustainable wood products, and authentic long-term interest in both wood and construction technology.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transactional business to consumer (B2C) sales ERP experience (Odoo or equivalent)
  • Experience setting up new fulfillment operations or implementing WMS software.
  • Knowledge of lean process improvement or continuous improvement practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP / WMS systems, and shipping software.
  • Experience with productivity software (Basecamp, Asana, or equivalent)

    Monday through Friday from 6 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

    Northeast Portland near the airport.

    Starting Wage

    $28.00-32.00 per hour

    Physical Requirements
