Job description

Business Development Executive

ESIS seeks a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive growth and expand market presence for our Building Automation division. This role is responsible for cultivating new and existing customer relationships, collaborating with engineering firms to secure brand specifications, and partnering with mechanical contractors to position ESIS as an "Add Alternate" option. The Business Development Executive will identify prime controls customers for cross-selling opportunities, act as a brand ambassador at professional events, and showcase our exceptional service offerings. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, technical acumen, and relationship-building skills to deliver sustainable business growth.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following :

Strategic Business Development :

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the building automation sector, including commercial, institutional, and industrial markets.

Develop and maintain relationships with engineering firms to ensure ESIS brands are specified in project designs.

Engage mechanical contractors to position ESIS as an "Add Alternate" on bids and proposals.

Research market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform business strategy.

Develop account management plans focused on strategic growth in automation and energy services.

Customer & Partner Relationship Management :

Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Identify controls customers who are ideal candidates for mechanical division outreach.

Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, handling escalated issues and delivering tailored solutions.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Brand Representation & Industry Engagement :

Represent ESIS and its brands at professional events, trade shows, and industry conferences.

Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

Actively participate in networking activities to expand ESIS's market reach.

Operational Excellence :

Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to create customized solutions for clients.

Ensure seamless integration of building automation solutions with existing systems, leveraging open protocols and brand-neutral approaches.

Support project implementation, commissioning, and post-sale customer engagement.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).

5+ years of progressive experience in business operations, project management, or financial oversight within a construction, contracting, or engineering environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Advanced proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and business management tools.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and market research skills.

Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.

Professional, affable disposition and strong personal integrity.
