Description : Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our Orthopedics & Bone Health team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on bone health, orthopedics, and employee health, with no call requirements. As an FNP, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, while promoting bone health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Orthopedic Care : Perform assessments, surgery optimization, develop care plans, and provide follow-up care for patients with orthopedic conditions (e.g., fractures, arthritis, sports injuries).
- Bone Health Management : Educate patients on osteoporosis prevention, management, and bone health, including counseling on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
- Employee Health : Perform physical exams for employees to ensure their health and wellness needs are met. Treat minor outpatient medical conditions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and treatment coordination.
- Patient Education : Counsel patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle changes that support bone and joint health.
- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and practice standards.
- Follow-up Care : Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful recovery and health maintenance.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Education : Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) with Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.Licensure : Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in [State].Certifications : Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC).Experience : Previous experience in primary care, employee health, bone health, or musculoskeletal conditions preferred.Skills : Strong clinical skills in assessment, nutrition, health optimization, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic conditions. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Other Requirements : Ability to perform basic physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests, and create care plans for patients with musculoskeletal disorders.Schedule & Benefits :
