Accounting Associate

Job Title: Bookkeeper needed in Tampa FL!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Associate with general accounting knowledge to assist our Controller with various accounting needs. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Update spreadsheets and data for accounts payable invoices and department needs.
• Handle accounts payable functions efficiently.
• Assist with a project to transition to a paperless process.
• Research and correct account discrepancies promptly.
• Receive and code all invoices, process payments, and manage payment receipts as needed.

Essential Skills

• General accounting exposure.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Basic proficiency in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An associate's degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting functions.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines and work with urgency.

Work Environment

The role is based in a professional, family-oriented, and fast-paced accounting group on site at our office. The position requires a 40-hour work week, with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The office is conveniently located near USF. This is a 3-month project with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role.

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
