Job DescriptionSummary / Objective
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating children and adults with speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will also direct and oversee augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and address feeding issues / difficulties in clients with severe expressive and / or language comprehension disorders. All services should be delivered with cultural humility and in alignment with Conduct Curb's core values of Integrity, Respect, Acceptance, Accountability, and Grace.
Essential Functions

Evaluate, plan, and provide therapy for clients with speech / language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine levels of speech-language impairment.Design individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function.Assess and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding disorders in clients.Collaborate with BCBAs and other clinicians to ensure optimal, culturally responsive client outcomes.Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, observations, and make appropriate referrals.Develop instructional and intervention strategies that consider linguistic and cultural diversity.Create treatment plans and educational materials tailored to each client's unique cultural and linguistic background.Provide training to team members on communication disorders, culturally competent interventions, and inclusive practices.Maintain the safety, dignity, and welfare of all clients at all times.Meet with parents monthly alongside the client's BCBA to discuss goals, review treatment, etc.CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Professional demeanor.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Works effectively in both team settings and independently.Proficient math skills.Reliable transportation with proof of current auto insurance.Cultural humility and an understanding of how cultural and linguistic backgrounds affect communication, treatment, and family engagement.Ability to engage respectfully with diverse populations, including individuals of different races, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses.Cultural Competency

Supervisory Responsibilities
None.Work EnvironmentThe role operates in both clinical and educational environments, which may include diagnostic clinics, therapy rooms, and classroom settings. Exposure to clients with varying behaviors and communication challenges is expected.Physical Demands
The SLP may be required to stand for move for extended periods of time, lift or position clients and equipment on a regular basis, climb stairs, and / or do repetitive tasks with minimal breaks. The SLP may also be required to use various methods of safe physical management techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of Conduct Curb clients and staff.Travel Required
SLP role would require 15%-25% of travel for associated trainings, travel between sites for client services as well as potential travel for company field trips.Required Education and ExperienceGraduation from an accredited academic program in Speech-Language Pathology, or a foreign-trained program with Indiana PLA-approved equivalency.Current licensure in the State of Indiana (or ability to obtain within 12 months).Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or CCC-eligibilityBilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a multidisciplinary team setting.Trained in or able to attend training for safe physical management techniques.Preferred Education and ExperienceExperience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.Advanced training in feeding disorders or pediatric dysphagia.Prior training in cultural responsiveness or diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).Additional Eligibility RequirementsMust pass criminal and sexual abuse registry background checks.Must provide proof of clean TB and drug tests.Must have reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance.Must meet Work Authorization / Security Clearance Requirements.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Benefits
