Ayres is seeking a senior municipal water and / or wastewater engineer with a proven track record of technical design and managing municipal utility projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in utility design, water / wastewater distribution and collection systems, and utility relocation projects, with experience in project management, client relations, permitting, design, specification and contract preparation, and construction management.

On Any Given Day, You'll

Lead and collaborate on municipal government projects.
Design municipal water and / or wastewater systems, including distribution, pumping, storage, treatment, and processes.
Manage projects, oversee design and regulatory submissions, ensuring timely, profitable, and quality work.
Build and maintain respectful relationships within the team and with clients.
Support staff development and mentorship.
Engage in professional organizations to maintain and share technical knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.

Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Wisconsin or Minnesota.

15+ years of municipal utility design and construction experience.

Ability to independently manage small to medium projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Desired Skills and Experiences

Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities, especially in smaller communities.

Experience working with a team of employee-owners to ensure work quality and standards.
