The AI Service Delivery & Implementation Lead is an operational leader within the Optum AI team in Optum Technology. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of externally facing AI solutions across healthcare clients, ensuring projects are executed with precision, scalability, and client satisfaction.
This leader will guide delivery functions across technical implementation, operations, speech / UI workflows, and project execution. They will manage pipeline visibility, customer commitments, capacity planning, and application testing. The role plays a critical part in translating commercialization strategy into operational execution.

Primary Responsibilities :
Delivery Leadership
Oversee the execution of AI commercialization projects across payer, provider, and life sciences clients
Ensure delivery milestones are met with consistency, quality, and client alignment
Manage pipeline and backlog visibility to prioritize high-impact deliverables
Lead capacity planning and resource coordination across delivery functions
Team Management
Provide leadership and oversight to delivery professionals across implementation, operations, and project execution
Support onboarding, coaching, and development of delivery talent
Foster a culture of accountability, precision, and client-centric delivery
Technical Oversight
Guide implementation of AI solutions involving telephony, speech interfaces, and user experience testing
Ensure readiness and execution of application testing environments, including call center deployments
Monitor and refine delivery cadences, escalation protocols, and operational workflows
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with solution consultants, product managers, and engineering teams to align delivery plans with business goals
Translate client requirements into actionable delivery frameworks
Support seamless handoffs between sales, solutioning, and implementation teams
Process Optimization
Define and implement best practices for project tracking, reporting, and client communication
Continuously improve delivery models to support scalable growth and repeatable success

Required Qualifications :
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strategic impact
Expertise in pipeline management, capacity planning, and operational scaling
Solid technical fluency in AI and telephony systems, including speech / UI workflows and enterprise deployment models
Proven success in leading service delivery or implementation teams in healthcare or AI-driven environments
Proven excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $156,400 to $268,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
