Job Listing :Creating Connections Therapy is looking for full or part time speech / language therapists in the Kansas City area to provide speech and language services to toddler and preschool-aged children with autism spectrum disorders.About Creating Connections-Lawrence :Creating Connections offers ABA, speech, and occupational therapy within a preschool setting to allow for peer modeling and inclusive learning opportunities. SLPs at our Kansas City, KS location will conduct relevant assessments and provide direct speech and language therapy to children with autism. They are also responsible for conducting assessments as needed, and collaborating with BCBAs, OTs, and Registered Behavior Technicians to ensure children's goals are implemented throughout their day. OTher responsibilities are as follows :Collaborate with other CCT team members including the Clinical Director, Occupational Therapist, and BCBAsAttend parent training sessions.Attend team meetings as needed to train RBTs on programmingDemonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize workload in an efficient and productive manner in the assigned work time.Demonstrate ability to adapt to changes in schedule and environment.Provide quality speech therapy in a manner that takes into account the special needs of the child (e.g., age, culture, learning ability, etc.)Take initiative to learn and apply new processes and procedures by attending in-services, pertinent continuing education seminars, and reading professional journals and sharing that information with team members.Required Qualifications :Master's Degree in Speech / Language Pathology from an accredited school.ASHA CertificationCurrent Kansas and Missouri SLP licensurePreferred Qualifications :Experience working with young children, and preferably children with a diagnosis of autism or other developmental disabilities;Diversity Statement :At CCT, we provide services to some wonderful children and their families who come from a range of diverse backgrounds.
