The Global Business Development (BD) Leader drives the creation of accretive value and acceleration of business growth through strategic collaborations with 3rd party companies.The Global BD Leader implements Segments and Portfolios strategies across all stages of the portfolio life-cycle (research, pipeline, pre-commercial, commercial, maturity, post patent) to enable : Acceleration and ramp-up of new launches, expansion of market reach through cross-licensing, distribution, etc.Fill portfolio gaps, gain access to mixture partners for differentiation of solutions, expansion of spectrum, management of resistanceExpansion into new segments (Biologicals, SAT) through quick access to external portfoliosCost and risk sharing, monetization of technology through c-development and research collaborationLife-cycle management and generic offense through supply agreements with 3rd parties and execution of molecular share strategiesGain freedom to operate through negotiation of IP / non-asserts with 3rd partiesNegotiates a range of deal types : in-licensing, out-licensing, research collaboration, co-development, commercial distribution, supply, data access, data compensation, IP resolution, non-competitive collaboration, etc.Acts as strategic account manager of assigned 3rd party companies, develops deep understanding of their strategy, strengths, gaps, and Corteva strategy with each account.Accountability : Identify collaboration opportunities and strategic collaborators in partnership with business owner; contribute to development of business case for collaborationDevelopment of negotiation strategy in alignment with portfolio and financial objectives, lead negotiation team and process, steward reviews, approvals and execution of agreements according to company policy and DOAs, manage amendments, extensions, renewals, terminations, escalations, conflict resolution, settlements, in partnership with portfolios, legal, finance. Application of best practices with discipline and ethicsStrategic account management of assigned 3rd party companies, leveraging across portfolios and Seeds business as appropriate, orchestrated with Regions.
