Self-Direction DSP -Jamesville Area (Job #RC-XM)

RISE / Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services in the Jamesville area with a man in his 40s. He has a great sense of humor, loves to go out in the community, likes to meet with friends, going to the movies, shopping, bowling, and going to the mall. Staff will also assist him out in the community to explore new activities to meet new people and provide opportunities for positive behavioral supports. New hires will be provided with training, support, and guidance from both the individual and the agency on how best to provide and deliver services.

We are looking for individuals who are experienced working as a DSP or any role within the field of OPWDD. Experience with promoting positive social interactions and communication also required. The applicant must be reliable, patient, and caring. Transportation, driver's license, and a high school diploma / GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency.

Hours and days of work : 3-5 days a week 10am-5pm

Starting pay : Starting pay is $25 / hour

Location : Jamesville, NY
