Global Head, Partnerships & Alliances

J&J MedTech is passionate about crafting the future of digital surgery by developing software products and solutions for hospitals, clinicians, and patients. These products will deliver a comprehensive digital surgery experience for J&J MedTech customers and their patients from pre-operative care through post-operative support. J&J MedTech's Digital (MTD) group is building an open connected ecosystem, Polyphonic, to help deliver the future of healthcare. These solutions, when integrated with J&J MedTech robotics and broad portfolio of medical devices, are intended to deliver a comprehensive Digital Surgery experience for clinical customers and the patients they serve.

We are searching for the best talent for a Global Head, Partnerships & Alliances, to be located in Santa Clara, CA. Remote consideration will be given for exceptional talent.

The Global Head, Partnerships and Alliances have responsibility for leading the commercial readiness and launch of future digital products globally by seeking, developing, and executing Partnerships & Alliances to deploy Polyphonic across the world. This position will report to the Global Head of Digital Solutions MT and will sit in the LT.

This position supports sales enablement by providing product expertise, customer insights, and engagement strategies. Together with the sales & marketing teams we approach customers in a joint manner to develop and deploy new digital capabilities.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Define and execute the long-term partnerships and alliances strategy that supports J&J MedTech's digital ecosystem vision (platform, data, AI, and surgical solutions).
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partners across technology (cloud, AI, robotics, cybersecurity), healthcare providers, governments, and research institutions.
  • Align alliance strategy to revenue, adoption, and market-expansion goals.
  • Support negotiations, structuring, and governance of global partnership agreements.
  • Build multi-tier alliances (e.g., strategic technology partners, regional health system coalitions, startup collaborations).
  • Ensure operational executionestablish clear joint value propositions, GTM motions, and success metrics.
  • Drive co-innovation with partners to accelerate adoption of digital solutions, OR intelligence, and surgical data platforms.
  • Develop scalable partnership models for new markets (e.g., Middle East, Europe, LATAM, Asia).
  • Represent J&J MedTech in key forums, government initiatives, and industry alliances.
  • Partner with internal functions (Strategy, R&D, Data, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance) to ensure partnership impact is fully realized.
  • Act as a senior ambassador to C-suite stakeholders both internally and externally.

Education / Experience :

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or alliances in MedTech, digital health, enterprise technology, or healthcare.
  • Proven track record of building global partnerships that drove significant business and ecosystem impact.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare IT, cloud / AI platforms, data governance, and digital transformation in MedTech or life sciences.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders across cultures and industries.
  • Strong negotiation, contract structuring, and governance experience.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience :

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Other Requirements :

  • The location for this position is Santa Clara, CA (or remote for exceptional candidates) and may require up to 30% travel, domestic and international.
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 - $299,000. California Bay Area - The anticipated base pay range for this position is $200,000 - $343,850.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar / performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    Employees and / or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs : medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

    Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

    This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

    Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits :

  • Vacation up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
