Director, Nutrition Affairs

Position Overview

Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as Director, Nutrition Affairs, advancing the dairy community’s commitment to health, wellness, and sustainable nutrition. This role will champion science-based communications and stakeholder engagement efforts that highlight the contributions of dairy foods to public health and sustainable food systems.

Reporting to Senior Vice President, Nutrition Affairs, the Director will lead and support initiatives that build trust, foster collaboration, and amplify the voice of America’s dairy farmers through meaningful partnerships with health and wellness thought leaders, professional organizations, and scientific communities.

This role is hybrid, with three days a week in the office, and two days remote. We are unable to offer relocation assistance or visa sponsorship for this position.

About Dairy Management Inc. and National Dairy Council

Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) is funded by nearly 28,000 U.S. dairy farmers and dairy importers, working to grow demand for dairy through research, education, and innovation. DMI manages the National Dairy Council (NDC), the American Dairy Association, and founded the U.S. Dairy Export Council and the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy. DMI works with state and regional promotion organizations to implement these programs across the country.

National Dairy Council (NDC), the non-profit organization founded by dairy farmers and funded by the national dairy checkoff program, has been committed to research-based nutrition education and communications since its start in 1915. NDC is dedicated to bringing to life the dairy community’s shared vision of a healthy, happy, sustainable world – with science as its foundation. NDC’s staff of registered dietitians, researchers, and nutrition educators communicate about dairy’s contributions to health and sustainable food systems.

DMI and its related organizations do not engage in policy or lobbying activities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Program Management

• Lead and / or support engagement strategies and educational collaborations with health and wellness thought leaders and professional organizations.
• Develop and execute strategic collaborations, roundtables, briefings, and events that advance dairy’s role in health and sustainability.
• Provide input on relationship goals and guide productive dialogue to achieve shared outcomes.

New Hire Salary Range $99,000-$120,000 annually. This is a salary range that DMI believes, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location specified.
