Job Overview –Junior Merchandise Planner
We are looking for a Junior Merchandise Planner to help with sales forecasting, inventory tracking, and business reporting. This role will support the planning team to make sure the right products are in the right place at the right time, while keeping an eye on sales goals and margin targets.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Forecasting
- Help create sales and inventory plans before each season.
- Update forecasts during the season based on sales results and promotions.
- Work closely with the buying, sales, and production teams so everyone is working off the same numbers.
Inventory Management
Keep track of stock levels and reorder needs for wholesale and DTC businesses.Watch new product launches and measure how they’re selling by store, retailer, and online.Assist with moving out slow-selling inventory to protect sales and margin goals.Reporting & Analysis
Pull weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports.Review performance by style, retailer, and brand to spot risks and opportunities.Share findings with the planning team to guide next steps.Pricing Support
Track initial pricing and clearance pricing.Help make recommendations that support sales and margin goals.What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or similar.2–4 years of planning, allocation, inventory, or buying experience (internships count).Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers.Good communicator, comfortable working with different teams like sales, buying, and production.Annual Salary - Starting at 70k
