Senior Civil Estimator

Location : Windsor, CO (Hybrid eligible)

Salary : $110,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)

Benefits : Annual performance-based bonus, health / dental / vision insurance, 401(k) match, PTO

Position Summary

As a Senior Civil Estimator , you’ll take the lead in preparing competitive and strategic estimates for large and complex civil infrastructure projects. You’ll serve as a key player in our preconstruction efforts and help mentor junior staff. This is a high-impact role with strong visibility and the potential to contribute directly to the company’s ongoing growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of cost estimates for major civil construction projects

Review and interpret plans, specifications, and geotechnical data to determine project scope and cost

Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients

Identify value engineering opportunities and risk factors in the bid process

Provide strategic input on bid selection and pursuit strategy

Collaborate closely with leadership and project teams during bid and preconstruction phases

Assist in developing estimating standards and mentoring junior estimators

Qualifications

5+ years of civil construction estimating experience, including lead estimator roles

Strong proficiency in HeavyBid or similar estimating tools

Demonstrated success in winning competitive bids and managing estimate strategy

Deep understanding of local market conditions and subcontractor networks

Proven leadership and mentoring abilities

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required
