We operate across multiple states on both ground-up and renovation work.
Position Summary
As a Project Manager, you will lead and oversee construction projects from the point they are handed off by the pre-construction team through completion, ensuring alignment with design intent, budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements while driving project execution. You will serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects / engineers, subcontractors, governing authorities, and field teams. You will be responsible for maintaining clear communication, resolving issues proactively, and delivering successful project outcomes.
Reporting Structure & Work Environment
- Reports to V.P. of Construction or Regional Director of Construction
- Works closely with internal teams (pre-construction, project coordination, accounting) and external partners
- 2-3 days per week in office
- Frequent travel to job sites is required
- Must be comfortable being in active construction zones, walking job sites, and working under field conditions
Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationPrepare and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and procurement of materialsDevelop, maintain, and track project schedules to ensure on-time deliveryOversee field operations : monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivityGenerate regular project reports (weekly status, cost tracking, forecasts)Initiate, review, and manage RFIs, change orders, and submittalsCoordinate with owners, architects, engineers, landlords, inspectors, and jurisdictions to resolve design / field issuesEnforce safety standards and quality control across all phasesParticipate in project closeout : as-built documentation, punch lists, warranties, and final turnoverRequirements
Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial construction projects (retail, restaurant, or similar preferred)At least 3 years in a Project Manager role in a commercial / general contracting environmentStrong grasp of construction methods, materials, building codes, and regulatory environmentsProven experience in budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and risk managementExcellent written, verbal, and presentation / communication skillsLeadership ability : able to motivate, guide, and manage teams on-site and offProficiency with PC / Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and project management systems (Procore experience is a plus)Strong organizational, time-management, problem solving, and decision-making skillsHigh standards for quality, attention to detail, and accountabilityCommitment to enforcing jobsite safety standardsPreferred :
