Description :

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a rehabilitation unit.

The primary focus will be on caring for patients in acute inpatient rehab.

Patients will receive three hours of therapy during the day.

Time management is essential to ensure patients reach their appointments on time.

Multitasking is required for medication administration and treatments.

The role involves physical components, such as assisting patients in and out of bed.

The population served is at high risk for falls.

The unit accommodates patients from various other units.

Required skillset includes managing heparin drips, CAPD, tracheostomies, G-tubes, and wound vacs.

Experience with acute rehabilitation and interdisciplinary support is essential.

Candidates must possess strong patient care abilities and effectively contribute to team efforts.

Managing patient safety goals and core measures is a priority.

In addition, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.

The position involves working with adult and geriatric patient age groups.

Daily unit census averages around 18 patients.
