Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team in the Regional Drug Dependency Unit (RDDU) at the Great Plains Area facility in Winnebago, NE. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care activities, performing routine clinical tasks, managing patient records, and supporting the overall operation of the unit, ensuring compassionate, culturally sensitive care for individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and other patient data.
• Assist licensed staff with clinical procedures such as specimen collection, wound care, and immunizations.
• Administer medications and injections as delegated by the supervising provider and within scope of practice.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or physician.
