TITLE : Radiology Tech, Weekends, Evenings Full Time

LOCATION : Warden, WA

Community is about 25K population, facility serves about 77k. There is a small airport, a University, a nice community that offers something for everyone.

It is known as a Desert Oasis in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Central Washington with 4 seasons and 330 plus days of sunshine.

What they're looking for :

  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Registered - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R) required.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.

Hours and compensation potential :

  • Position is full time. Thursday from 1pm- 11 : 30pm, 4pm - 2 : 30am Friday - Sunday.
  • Range is between $36.75hr-$49.75hr depending on experience. Additional shift diffs as well.
  • Full benefits package including relocation assistance(5K).

    • What you'll be doing :

  • This position is responsible for performing radiological exams in a safe and prudent manner for the specific purpose of producing a diagnostic exam of the highest quality while creating a quality environment for the customer.
  • Performs a full range of diagnostic radiography. This position works closely with the Diagnostic Imaging team and other departments in order to provide complete patient care.
  • Technical factors : Automatic exposure control is used appropriately. Technical factors (kvp, ma, time and distance) are accurately utilized. Appropriate cassette is used (regular, grid, etc.), collimation and tomographic factors are employed and assistance is given to the attending physician during exams.
  • Positioning techniques : Appropriate body parts are imaged and identified, views are acquired, and immobilization is employed. Practices good sterile techniques.
  • Patient handling : Transports, transfers, and positions patients in a manner that is safe for the patient. Confirms that patient and exam preparations are appropriate. Evaluates patient's mental and physical condition in order to avoid hazardous situations and does not leave alone, if their safety is questioned.
  • Monitors patient needs.
  • Performs necessary paperwork and archiving.
  • Administers contrast media when appropriate.
  • Handles confidential information according to HIPAA regulations.
  • Acts as mentor to students from affiliated Radiology Technology Programs.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to : security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics.
  • Ensures self-compliance with organization policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements.
  • Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a courteous and efficient manner conducive with the organization's values.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the organization.
