Introduction :

Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO).

Role Overview :

This job description outlines the requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and duties for the position of Purchasing Assistant of Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply. The Purchasing Assistant helps ensure the organization has the materials, goods, and services it needs by researching suppliers, requesting quotes, and comparing offers. This role supports purchasing operations and works closely with vendors and internal departments to maintain smooth and cost-efficient supply chains.

Education & Experience Requirements :

• Required : High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred : Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience : Equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Physical Demands :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Physical effort requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, gripping, reach with hands and arms, carrying, climb up and down stairs. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and keyboarding. Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 50 lbs. Visual abilities, near and far vision, depth perception.

Work Hours and Environment :

This full-time position requires a commitment to work from Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm

Pay Rate : $15 / HR

Employment with Gallup Welder Supply is on an “at-will” basis.
