We are seeking CEI Inspector Aids who will provide Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for transportation projects located in the state of Georgia. This is entry level inspector work supporting higher level inspectors and engineers on assignments relating to highway and bridge construction inspection. Work is generally performed under technical and administrative supervision and may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Will perform a range of routine and standardized work including, but not limited to, manual and / or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract.
- Will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites.
- Will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and / or testing.
- Will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation.
- May be required to use a number of different pieces of equipment such as Slump Cone, Air Meter, Measuring Wheel / Tape, Thermometer, etc. Incumbents will be fully trained in the use of equipment necessary to accomplish their work.
- May be required to work at remote sites around construction equipment, drilling rigs, explosives and environment contamination.

High School Diploma or GED.Some knowledge of surveying or highway construction.General knowledge of mathematical functions.Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators.Ability to learn and interpret such things as construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures.Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law.Proficiency with computers (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, internet, etc.).Required Certifications
GDOT WECSGDOT Field Concrete Technician CertificationGSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control)Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, Basic Highway Plan Reading)Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $35-50k annually ($16-24 / hr.). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications / licenses that have been obtained, etc.
