This Position will oversee the daily operations of the back-office staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with state regulations. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves supervising clinical staff, coordinating, and safeguarding patient care needs, and assisting in the management of clinical procedures within a healthcare setting, in collaboration with the Executive Director of Clinical Operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Back Office SupervisorSupervise Back Office and Referral and Authorization Specialist providing professional and technical support to staff and troubleshoots the delivery of patient care. Responds to requests from families and other concerned patients regarding patient care issues.
Manages staff schedules to meet changing workload needs, time card processing, time correction, or any PTO requests. Request coverage from Per Diem pool.Supports staff in daily functions such as medical assistant coverage (rooming, turning rooms over, sending specimens out, etc. as needed).Conducts daily spot checks within the clinic and completes all necessary daily / weekly logs and assignment sheets. Complete clinic variance for all incidents that occurs in the clinic by the end of day of the incident, sending complete forms to the Executive Director of clinical operations via interoffice, not email.Serves as the subject matter expert, mentor and role model to employees, demonstrates fair and equitable employment practices.Monitors and audits patient's referral authorization, surgery schedulers, claim edit and Charge Review work queues for the clinic ensuring all are completed in a timely manner, but ensure any STAT / Urgent requests are completed by the end of day.Review and monitor quality audits and Press Ganey to resolve any issues that may arise and make any improvements. Report findings from your audits to the CA immediately so training can take place for the staff.Participates in the recruitment process, screening, interviewing and recommending applicants for hire for the best possible fit. Performs evaluation of assigned staff, providing input regarding performance feedback.Collaborate with Back Office Clinic Supervisors and Clinic Administrators to manage and maintain physician templates.Performs some administrative office functions such as attending all meetings, composing and distributing routine correspondence, including letters, e-mail, forms and faxes, answers, screens and directs telephone calls. Monitors the clinic's supply of medical equipment; purchase any necessary equipment through McKesson.Abides by Compliance and HIPPA guidelines, ensuring maintenance of patient privacy and protection of patient health information / confidential data.Provides EMR elbow support.IV Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and state regulations. This role involves administering intravenous therapy
Administer intravenous medications, fluids, as prescribed by the physician and as allowed per Nevada State Board of NursingMonitor patients for adverse reactions or complications related to IV therapy, providing timely interventions as neededReport any patient concerns to a registered nurse and / or higher immediatelyPerform venipuncture and maintain IV access, ensuring adherence to infection control practices.Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients before, during, and after IV therapy.Document patient conditions, treatments, and responses accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).Educate patients and families on IV therapy, medication management, and post-procedure care.Provide training and support to new staff regarding IV administration and best practices.Be prepared to respond to emergencies related to IV therapy, including anaphylaxis or fluidoverload, following established protocols.Stay current with CPR and emergency response procedures.Functions effectively in a matrix management environment.Completes any duties and special assignments as requested.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN, LPN / LVN, Medical Assistant, and / or related field requiredMinimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferredGraduation from an RN or LPN Program requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required / preferredLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of Nevada requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual - Spanish is a plusAdvanced knowledge and understanding of nursing practices and the ability to work effectively under the supervision of an RN with the knowledge needed to perform procedures and follow regulations as outlinedAdvanced knowledge and experience of EHR systems.
