Position Summary

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This includes resident rooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms in accordance with established policies and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces daily.

Follow infection prevention and control protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials.

Properly handle and dispose of waste and laundry.

Report any needed repairs or maintenance concerns promptly.

Work collaboratively with nursing and maintenance teams to ensure resident satisfaction.

Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus).

Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and dignity.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Dependable and professional attitude.
