Job description

Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) – Northeast Ohio

For more than 30 years, CBHC has provided compassionate, community-based mental health care to adults across Northeast Ohio. We’re seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN-CNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our interdisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and case managers. You’ll provide evidence-based care to adults with acute and chronic mental health conditions in a supportive, consensus-driven environment.

Status : Full-time, on-site
Core Focus : Psychiatric assessment and pharmacologic management
Impact : Promote recovery, reduce hospitalization risk, and improve quality of life for a diverse adult population

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits

Develop and manage individualized medication and treatment plans

Identify short- and long-term care needs; implement care directives

Educate patients and families on diagnosis, medications, and safety planning

Document care in the EMR and e-prescribe in accordance with regulatory standards

Coordinate care with internal and external providers to support whole-person health

Qualifications

Current Ohio APRN license (CNP or CNS)

Psychiatric board certification (PMHNP-BC or CNS in Psych / Mental Health)

Unrestricted prescriptive authority and active DEA

Proficiency with EMR documentation and e-prescribing

Experience in an outpatient setting preferred

Commitment to community-based mental health for adults (18+)

Language skills in Ukrainian, Russian, or Arabic are highly valued
