PT Certified Nursing Assistant / Aide

Location : Brighton, CO

Schedule : 7a-5p, w / e rotation (part-time 30hrs / weekly)

Position Overview

Our Certified Nursing Assistant / Aide is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under supervision of Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses. Assists Nurses with patient care and patients with ADL's commensurate with their education and demonstrated competencies.

Essential Duties

• ? Under the supervision of an LPN, RN, PA, ARNP, or MD, assists in the assessment of vital signs, transferring, and ambulating of patients
• ? Consults with and is responsible to RNs and other staff as appropriate
• ? Implements clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Intervenes with proper technique, procedures, and safety precautions to meet individual needs of patients
• ? Responsible for charting vital signs, intake, and output on appropriate flow sheets and reports any changes of patient status to appropriate disciplines
• ? Responsible for ordering and maintaining supply levels for all clinics; stocks ER supplies
• ? Responsible for administering medications

Work Environment

Work is performed inside a correctional facility. Employees are exposed to some level of risk and / or harm by inmates including exposure to blood borne pathogens. Employee is expected to work in accordance with all security rules and regulations to minimize the risk of danger and / or harm to themselves or other employees.
