Position Overview :
CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Tinton Falls, NJ. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work on a variety of civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Project Design and Development :
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roadways, stormwater management systems, and site layouts.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and assess project conditions.
Technical Analysis and Problem Solving :
Perform technical calculations and analyses to support project designs.Utilize engineering software for modeling and simulations to optimize project outcomes.Identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges encountered during project execution.Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and related documentation.Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and industry standards.Collaboration and Communication :
Work collaboratively with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers.Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.Project Management Support :
Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating project schedules and budgets.Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leaders.Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.Qualifications
Educational Background :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.Relevant coursework or internships in civil engineering projects is preferred.Professional Experience :
0-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure.Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering is a plus.Licensure and Certification :
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain EIT within 12 months.Commitment to pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.Technical Proficiency :
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is advantageous.Basic understanding of GIS applications and data management.Skills and Abilities :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.Benefits
