Position Overview :

We are seeking a Family Medicine provider to deliver healthcare services and perform selective medical services under the supervision of the Supervising Physician and Chief Medical Officer. This position will operate in one of the busiest locations within Lakeside Medical Group.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collect relevant health history and conduct necessary physical examinations for patients seeking care.
  • Develop a diagnosis and treatment plan for each patient, and communicate this effectively to them.
  • Prescribe and refill medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines.
  • Document all patient interactions and medical decisions promptly according to company policies using the NextGen electronic health record system or any other required documentation.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Medical Group and clinical team, providing coverage for absent providers, working with case management, and engaging with specialists and allied health professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Perform various procedures in the clinic, as well as inpatient and outpatient settings, based on training and experience.
  • Refer patients to specialty care and services when necessary.
  • Review and sign incoming diagnostic reports (e.g., laboratory tests, radiology, EKGs) promptly and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Participate in marketing outreach and staff and patient education programs as assigned by medical group leadership.
  • Engage in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings as required.
  • Assist in updating protocols and practice principles as requested.
  • Manage patients effectively to optimize health outcomes while minimizing unnecessary use of resources.
  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries via telephone and the electronic patient portal.
  • Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as assigned and when needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications :

  • Experience and Education :
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certified (current) or eligible in own specialty.
  • Active California medical license.
  • Current Federal DEA registration.
  • Additional credentials as required by the specialty.
  • Compensation :

    The expected salary range for this position upon hiring is between $240,000 and $340,000 annually. This range represents total cash compensation at target. The actual compensation may vary based on experience and performance metrics. Factors such as education, work experience, and certifications will influence pay. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards, as well as a comprehensive range of benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off options (e.g., vacation, sick leave, parental leave), depending on the role offered. Details about participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employment offer is extended.
