Position Overview

During the Full-Service Oil Change, the courtesy technician is responsible for the tasks that the customer can most readily see, such as vacuuming, cleaning the windows, and setting the tire pressure. Performing these duties with care and professionalism will create a positive impression on the customer. During the Full-Service Oil Change, the courtesy technicians duties and responsibilities include :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work safely

Wear safety gear

Use Echo System

Place seat cover and floor mat in the vehicle

Drive vehicle into the bay

Perform light check

Prepare vehicle for service :

Release the hood

Unlock doors

Roll up windows

Remove and secure keys

Assist in documenting service information vehicle damage, unusual conditions

Vacuum the entire interior

Notify the manager if valuables are found

Check and set tire pressure

Clean exterior windows, including mirrors and headlights in bad weather

Visually inspect wiper blades

Prepare / affix a static sticker

Start the vehicle and check the oil pressure

Reset the oil indicator light, if applicable

Drive the vehicle out of the bay to the customer pickup area

Present vehicle to customer

Thank customers for their business and invite them to return

Work safely

Job Qualifications

Customer service skills

Basic literacy (ready, writing, math skills)

Ability and license to operate motor vehicles

Verbal communication skills

Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools

Attention to detail

No previous experience or training required
