The Director II Engineering is a strategic leader responsible for commercializing healthcare data and analytics. This role involves defining and executing the vision for data, advanced analytics, and modern platform development to generate new revenue streams and deliver innovative solutions across pharma, life sciences, and related sectors.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead strategy and execution for healthcare data and analytics commercialization.
- Build and scale cloud-based data platforms integrating RWD, EHR, claims, and other healthcare data.
- Partner with business and external stakeholders to develop monetizable data and analytics products.
- Ensure compliance, governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Planning, directing, and controlling multiple teams of resources and initiatives to accomplish the objectives and requirements defined by senior technology and product management across multiple teams.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of company-wide efforts and goals and the ability to manage to budgetary constraints.
- Interfaces with key technology solution vendors; develop strategies and facilitate performance measurement plans to optimize vendors and associate performance and outcomes.
- Develops application technology plans, forecasting for an enterprise application, enterprise-wide tool, infrastructure, or a center or domain that is equivalent in scope and complexity.
- Oversee strategic planning, budget development, and management for a single large or multiple cost centers, contract compliance, and any necessary integration of government regulatory requirements.
- Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity plan are implemented, monitored, and updated on a recurring basis.
- Ensures delivery and supports system solutions that support the continuous operations.
- Identifies and resolves hurdles for assigned areas / groups according to established deadlines.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key business partners.
- Partners with customers in order to understand new product enhancements or features being requested.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluate performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements
Requires a BA / BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of IT management experience in the area of function being managed; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
Eight years in data / analytics leadership primarily in healthcare is preferred.Proven experience building and commercializing data platforms, products, and services is preferred.Expertise in real-world data (claims, EHR, clinical, genomics, social determinants) is preferred.Strong knowledge of advanced analytics, AI / ML, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is preferred.Familiarity with interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD, OMOP) and compliance (HIPAA) is preferred.Business acumen to translate data into commercial opportunities and value creation is preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management is preferred.Ability to inspire teams, manage large-scale initiatives, and drive innovation in a complex healthcare ecosystem is preferred.Deep understanding of healthcare data sources and workflows, including the following is preferred :Clinical data : EHR / EMR, labs, imaging, clinical notes, registries, genomics is preferred.Administrative data : claims, authorizations, pharmacy data is preferred.Patient-generated data is preferred.Knowledge of clinical ontologies and standards (ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED CT) is preferred.Understanding of clinical research, real-world evidence (RWE), and outcomes studies is preferred.Experience operationalizing clinical data for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and population health management is preferred.Experience in life sciences, biopharma, or provider partnerships for data monetization is preferred.Background in product strategy, commercialization, or new revenue model development is preferred.Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or partnership evaluations involving data assets is preferred.Strong presence in industry forums, thought leadership, or publications in healthcare analytics is preferred.Familiarity with regulatory trends (FDA guidance on RWE, CMS interoperability rules) is preferred.Job Level : Director
