Foreperson

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
- Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for crew
- Conducts field training / retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units
- Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training
- Discusses with property owners / customers issues regarding work and property damage
- Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work
- Promotes and maintains good customer and public relations
- May investigate incident reports and settle minor damage claims
- Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports
- Controls crew costs
- Furnishes reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and new employee follow-up
- Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments
- Sets up barriers, warning signs, and other safety measures
- Inspects and repairs tools, truck, and other equipment
- Maintains good housekeeping on truck and at work location
- Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection requirements on all required vehicles
- Keeps informed regarding new equipment, practices, and policies
Minimum Qualifications :
Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.Excellent communication and leadership skillsOrganization skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to adjust to field requirements and take independent actionAbility to safely drive an approved company vehicleAbility to work with hands above head for extended periods of timeWeight should not exceed approximately 300 poundsNo fear of heightsEducation & Experience :
