Central Garden & Pet / Kaytee is currently looking for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team at Kaytee in Chilton, WI. • Works closely with operators, Maintenance Supervisor, Shift Supervisors and other team members.
• Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement in workplace safety.
• Dismantles, moves, installs, or repairs machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Examines machinery or mechanical equipment; identifies reasons for malfunction and completes repairs and / or maintenance.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to repair and maintain production equipment and ancillary equipment.
• Cleans plant facilities, equipment, and work areas as required.
• Assist with installing new equipment and systems. Repairs and maintains current equipment and systems as needed.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures and promotes continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance in the workplace.
• Performs special program tasks, such as annual and semi-annual PMPs.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
