Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Location : Charleston, SC 29407 (South Carolina nursing jobs)

Facility Setting : Surgical Short Stay / Observation Unit (inside large clinic surgery center PACU)

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shifts : 3x12-hour night shifts (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM), Monday through Thursday (No Fridays, weekends, or holidays!)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640

Patient Ratio : 1 : 3 expected, up to 1 : 6 maximum

Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact RN license (must be active prior to start)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room (OR), PACU, or similar clinical setting

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Proficiency in airway assessment, ambulatory / outpatient care, conscious sedation, medication reconciliation, nerve blocks, phlebotomy, pre / post-op care, and IV starts / maintenance

Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment

First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply!

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the surgical short stay / observation unit

Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Monitor and assess patients before and after surgery, including those undergoing orthopedic, interventional radiology, and GI procedures

Administer medications, initiate IVs, and manage conscious sedation as required

Accurately document all aspects of patient care and clinical interventions

Float to other observation units as needed to support patient census

Maintain a safe, secure environment for patients and healthcare staff, especially during overnight shifts
