Under the direction of the Director of Central Operations, the Clinical Services Coordinator performs a variety of tasks in support of and related to patient care. This includes administrative and clinical program duties such as vaccine program coordination, CLIA / lab coordination, ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, project management, and ensuring compliance. Projects may include adult, pediatric, or women's health specialties. The Clinical Services Coordinator may also perform direct patient care within their scope of licensure as needed.

This position is temporary, full-time, Monday-Friday from 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm.

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is a non-profit community health center dedicated to promoting community health through accessible, high-quality care including primary care, dental care, WIC support, mental health counseling, and health education.

Compensation : $26.74 - $31.20 per hour, depending on experience. This salary includes differential pay in lieu of benefits.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist clinic leadership in developing policies and protocols for patient care.
  • Participate in performance appraisals of personnel with documentation and input to management.
  • Conduct regular audits of clinic processes for regulatory compliance, including CLIA lab work, and report findings to management.
  • Monitor quality control, safety, and inspection practices to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including CLIA, OSHA, and others.
  • Lead clinical quality improvement projects, track abnormal test results, coordinate care plans, and provide patient navigation.
  • Gather metrics on quality improvement efforts across specialties such as adult, pediatric, or women's health.
  • Process laboratory services and follow-up for outside lab work not interfaced with EHR.
  • Manage CareSignal remote monitoring, including patient outreach, care coordination, prescription refills, DME delivery, patient education, and health status checks.
  • Coordinate care for refill requests not electronically interfaced with EHR.
  • Handle processing and follow-up for non-formulary medications prescribed by providers.
  • Provide basic clinical services, including medication administration, immunizations, referrals, and health education.
  • Support providers during examinations, explaining procedures and comforting patients.
  • Perform all duties adhering to TVHC's Service Excellence Standards.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED, or trade certificate.
  • Valid California Medical Assistant certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proficient in project management and able to break down complex projects.
  • Experienced with electronic health records and assisting others with EHR use.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse populations and staff.
  • Ability to motivate staff, promote teamwork, and assume leadership roles.
  • Flexible regarding job duties and assignments.
  • Willing to travel to various assignments as needed.
