Project Manager - Mid

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale utility projects from the engineering design phase through to construction. This role requires expertise in construction and engineering, with a focus on projects scattered throughout the northern third of Illinois. The ideal candidate will manage multiple construction scopes and ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion.

• Responsibilities
• Drive results in a utility project management role.
• Oversee large-scale projects across various programs from engineering design phase to construction.
• Manage multiple construction scopes throughout the northern third of Illinois.
• Initiate and manage contracts related to projects.
• Work with the electrical grid and be familiar with transmission operations.
• Ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.
• Essential Skills
• 5-8 years of experience working with electrical grids and construction projects.
• Understanding of engineering design principles.
• Experience managing large projects with budgets up to 5 million dollars.
• Degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience in managing contractors and handling RFPs.
• Proficiency in forecasting and project management.
• Strong construction background.
• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Proficient in reading electrical prints.
• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley accounting and forecasting principles.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management preferred.
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
• Experience managing medium voltage (12kV - 69KV) utility projects.
• Real estate easement, zoning, and permitting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools such as Oracle Unifier.

• Work Environment

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00 / hr.
