Founding Back End Engineer

Our client is  embarking on an exciting journey to build a one-of-a-kind company memory to help growing startups overcome scaling challenges. We've developed a true AI teammate that understands an organization's context, goals, and culture - offering both ICs and leaders unprecedented transparency into what's happening across the company and strategic alignment. Our goal? To never let a company lose itself as it gets bigger.

We need someone with strong backend or platform engineering experience who can build and ship scalable backend / platform systems. You should be comfortable working independently, learning quickly, and adapting to evolving challenges in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. You'll be working with our core technology stack including Python, TypeScript, React, FastAPI, AWS, and PostgreSQL, building scalable systems that serve our growing user base. Bonus points if you have experience working with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and RAG.

What you'll do :

• Build and ship scalable backend / platform systems.
• Develop LLM agents that integrate with large datasets.
• Work independently and have agency, not relying on others when not necessary.
• Interact with customers, understanding stakeholder perspectives and empathizing with end-users while building our core product.
