Job Title : Student Assistance Services Counselor Wage / Hour Status : Exempt

Reports to : Executive Director of Guidance & Counseling Pay Grade : Admin Pay 3

Dept. / School : Guidance and Counseling Days : 207

Supervises : NA

Primary Purpose : To provide counseling services and educational guidance to at-risk students; to provide consultation for school personnel, parents and community support groups in efforts to promote the physical and emotional well-being of at-risk students.

Qualifications :

Education / Certification :

• Master's Degree in counseling or counseling related field
• Certification or License : Texas Professional School Counselor Certification, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker Intern.

Major Responsibilities and Duties :

Working Conditions : Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district-wide and state-wide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
