Job Summary :
Assists in the production of non-sterile compounds
Job Activities and Responsibilities :
- Follows strict policies and procedure as outlined by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to perform various tasks
- Performs production in non-sterile compounding suite and follows cGMP
- Understands and recognizes the requirements of USP
- Follows company policy to perform proper hand washing, garbing, and gowning techniques for a non-sterile compounding environment
- Performs cleaning and disinfection on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Properly documents all compounding activities by following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP) policies and procedures.
- Retains knowledge of correct operation and ability to utilize and maintain manufacturing devices / equipment
- Competency in proper non-sterile suite conduct and sanitation by following and practicing strict workspace cleaning and disinfecting protocols
- Behavior represents professionalism, proper non-sterile suite conduct, and personal hygiene maintenance
- Competent in compounding technique and practices
- Participates in various aspects of the department including but not limited to :
Powder hood use
Data entryAssisting in inventory control and stocking of suppliesAssisting with visually inspecting products for non-conformanceAssisting with labeling productsMeets department goals and expectations pertaining to the production scheduleCollaborates with other departments as neededContributes to any workflow needs and demands deemed necessary by Carie BoydMinimum Qualifications :
Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or ability to register as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee within the first 90 days of hireHigh School Diploma or equivalencyDesired Skills and Aptitude :
Works in a non-sterile suite for an extended duration of timeBasic calculation skillsStrong work ethicEnthusiastic and eager to learnStrong attention to detail, highly self-motivated, and displays initiativeWorks independently and within a teamGreat communication skillsFlexible and willing to adapt to changing protocols and requirementsPhysical Requirements :
