Student Assistant

Description

The Department of Medicine is currently hiring a Student Assistant to support the PI's lab for approximately 12-20 hours per week. Responsibilities include filing, data entry, preparing correspondence, distributing reports, coordinating with vendors, obtaining signatures, managing incoming mail, and performing a variety of general administrative tasks. We offer flexible scheduling to support academic priorities. Each quarter, the student provides their class schedule, and work hours are adjusted accordingly, there are no fixed daily hours, allowing the student to balance coursework, exams, and job responsibilities effectively.

Hourly range : $17.90-$26.00

Qualifications

Required :

• Excellent English writing skills in grammar, spelling and punctuation for all correspondence
• Excellent English verbal communication skills to interact courteously and effectively with Center staff, faculty, patients and their family and volunteers.
• Interpersonal skills to maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators and personnel from other departments and outside vendors.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work effectively with absolute attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be a registered UCLA student
