Business Management Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Management Teacher to join our partner school's educational team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in various aspects of business management, including finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, to high school students. This role requires an engaging educator who can inspire students and prepare them for future careers in the business world.

• Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging lessons on topics such as financial accounting, marketing principles, business operations, and entrepreneurship.
• Curriculum Development: Create comprehensive lesson plans and curricula that align with educational standards and reflect the diverse backgrounds of students.
• Assessment: Evaluate and grade student assignments, projects, and exams; maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Student Support: Provide individualized support to students to facilitate their learning and personal development.
• Classroom Management: Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Professional Development: Stay current with trends in business education and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience and address student needs.
• Extracurricular Involvement: Organize and monitor student participation in business-related extracurricular activities, such as clubs, competitions, and internships.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Certification: Valid teaching certification in Business Education for Washington, DC preferred
• Experience: Previous teaching experience in business education or related fields preferred
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students with diverse learning styles.
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.

• Full-time position with expected hours of 37.5 per week.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday.
