Senior Financial Process Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Process Analyst to lead and optimize key financial processes related to capital planning, associate hours tracking towards capitalization projects, and project accounting. This role will be responsible for managing the process of the annual capital planning cycle, coordinating with key stakeholders, overseeing time-tracking processes for capitalized labor, and providing governance and oversight for the month-end close process for capital-related activities.
Key responsibilities include :
- Annual Capital Planning : Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the annual capital planning process, including timeline creation, communications, stakeholder alignment, and tool administration.
- Time Tracking Process Ownership : Own and manage the process for associates to track time against capital projects every week. Ensure consistent time tracking procedures across departments, including training and support. Monitor and report on time submission compliance; coordinate with functional leads to resolve discrepancies.
- Month-End Close for Capitalized Hours : Manage and coordinate the monthly close process related to capitalized labor. Collaborate with BU process leads to ensure adherence to the hours tracking process, ensuring accurate set-up of Epics, hours tracked to Workday project IDs, and monthly hours availability for finance. Ensure accurate collection and validation of time tracking data for capitalization. Partner with Finance and Accounting to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Process Improvement & Governance : Continuously evaluate existing capital processes and tools, recommending improvements for efficiency, scalability, and compliance. Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all relevant capital planning processes. Ensure alignment with accounting standards and corporate capitalization policies.
- Reporting : Partner with Enterprise reporting team to ensure development and continual enhancements to Dashboards around time tracking, capital funding, and actual spend against forecasts.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.3+ years of experience in capital planning, financial operations, project accounting, or related roles.Familiarity with time tracking systems, Adaptive Insights, Jira, Workday HCM, and financial planning software.Strong project management and coordination skills.Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with capital project lifecycle management.Understanding of GAAP and capitalization rules for labor.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
