Nova is seeking a Full Time Permanent Position IT System Administrator to lead in-house technology initiatives critical to business transformation and growth. The IT System Administrator will coordinate software evaluations and implementations, guide new AI-driven and automation projects, and manage vendor relationships—all to drive efficiency and enhance the resident and employee experience across Nova's expansive property portfolio.

- Responsibilities
- Oversee all IT-related projects, from ideation to execution, within a collaborative property management environment.
- Research, trial, and recommend innovative software from new vendors; supervise pilot tests and coordinate user feedback.
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of selected software tools and workflows, working closely with internal IT and cross-functional teams.
- Plan and deliver technology rollouts that drive automation and leverage artificial intelligence for tangible business gains.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor negotiations, project management, and systems integration.
- Monitor IT security, data integrity, system performance, and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
- Collect and document requirements, map process improvements, and support clear, practical adoption and training.
- Stay current with proptech and general tech innovation to keep Nova ahead of industry trends.
Requirements :
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.Strong experience in web programming (any stack or major web language required).At least 3 years in IT project management, IT leadership, or systems engineering (property management, real estate, or facilities management a plus).Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead successful technology deployments.Experience implementing or supporting software integration, workflow automation, or AI-based solutions in a business context.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Full-time availability, working in-person at Nova’s Houston headquarters.Education and Experience :At least two years of related experience.Physical Requirements :Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Job Type : Full-time
