Job Title : Registered Nurse I Profession : Nursing Specialty : Emergency Room Duration : Direct Hire Shift : Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 6 to 12 months of RN experience required License : Valid multi-state or state Registered Nurse License Certifications : BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire Must-Have : Must have ER experience Description : The Registered Nurse I assesses nursing care needs. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Monitors and evaluates patient functional status. Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care considering patient age and cultural factors. Documents all steps of the nursing process as required. Utilizes proper medical terminology in all communications. Addresses problems while tracking progress toward goals. Facilitates patient discharge with appropriate referrals and educational resources. Collaborates with other disciplines as necessary. Supports unit and hospital goals through quality improvement and educational activities. Attends in-services and meets education standards. Completes variance reports as needed. Demonstrates independent judgment in planning operations. Makes minor decisions in a complex technical field. Works directly with patients and / or customers. Engages with internal customers through various communication means. Interacts with other healthcare professionals and staff. Must be detail-oriented for examination of clinical and numerical data. Possesses effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
