Since 2011, Shine Early Learning has partnered with cities, states, and programs across the U.S. to enhance the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, families, and educators. We have been chosen to provide regulatory and quality technical assistance for Montana's child care programs through the SPARK Learning Lab Montana project. Our approach emphasizes building strong relationships and utilizes a practice-based model for learning that includes self-directed, group, and personalized training.
Your Role : As a Technical Assistance Specialist, you will deliver vital support through our tiered assistance approach to child care providers, both in-person and virtually. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with programs to set improvement goals, coordinate data monitoring, and ensure effective service delivery throughout the state. You’ll be making a significant impact on the quality of care provided to young children and their families.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver technical assistance to child care programs while adhering to state requirements and Shine's protocols.Assess practices of assigned programs to create tailored improvement plans.Offer tools and resources that aid in program planning and alignment with quality goals.Monitor compliance with project deliverables to ensure all services meet expected standards.Provide translation and interpretation for training materials and communications.Engage regularly with providers through emails, calls, and meetings in both English and Spanish.Conduct in-person and virtual assessments and support individualized learning in classroom settings.Nurture teacher development through mentoring, coaching cycles, and reflective feedback.Facilitate small group and one-on-one professional development sessions.Participate in mandatory meetings, events, and training.What We’re Looking For :
5 years in early care and education, or 2+ years in technical assistance. Montana experience is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience in professional development and coaching, either for in-house staff or external programs.Level 4 or higher in the Montana Career Path, PDS II, with all state-required training completed.Strong background in teaching, mentoring, or coaching in early childhood settings.Experience with diverse early childhood education program types is a plus.Fluency in Spanish is preferred.Background in Practice-Based Coaching models is desirable.Experience with Quality Improvement Action Plans is beneficial.Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for job-related activities.A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.Must be a Montana resident.Compensation :
Salary up to $55,000. This position is remote, serving the following counties : Beaverhead, Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Gallatin, Granite, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Meagher, Park, Powell, and Silver Bow.
