\n Job Description\n\nPerforms general or vascular ultrasound exams.\nAssures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure.\nReviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.\nEfficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily.\nDemonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient.\nPerforms other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department / organization.\nCertification : \n\nSonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date\nSonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date\nRegistered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date\nBasic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date\nNotes : \n\nMust be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)\nAdditional Job Description\n\nDemonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.\nMaintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient / customer care / services.\nDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of and compliance with : \nAll pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.\nWorking safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others or property.\nThe work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader.\nThe use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
