Job descriptionManaging entire mechanical construction projects from conception to completion. Coordinating with a diverse project team, including engineering, VDC (BIM) designers, scheduler, field foremen, customers, and subcontractors. Possessing a deep understanding of projects for efficient material ordering, subcontracting, billing, and management of RFIs, change orders, and submittals. Overseeing fabrication shop work packages, ensuring a clear grasp of content, including detail drawing review, material take-off, buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget. Collaborating with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Proactively planning, resolving issues, and ensuring contractual conditions are met, while working with Senior Project Manager and team for mentorship and training. 5+ Years of HVAC Estimating / Project Management Experience : A robust foundation in HVAC and / or Piping estimating and project management is essential. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Diverse Project Portfolio : Showcase your adaptability with demonstrated experience in a variety of project types, including higher education, government, healthcare, industrial, and commercial building projects. Estimation Expertise : Proficiency in estimating HVAC project costs, crafting cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, researching materials, reading blueprints, evaluating bids, and preparing proposals. Industry Awareness : Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends to remain competitive. Effective Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration. Code and Specification Knowledge : Familiarity with energy codes and project specifications. Organizational Skills : Maintaining well-organized records of completed estimates.
